Crazy for Creative Memories and Cricut Blog Hop

Welcome to the last stop on the Crazy for Creative Memories and Cricut Blog Hop!  We hope you have enjoyed our projects and the Creative Memories and Cricut projects!

One of the things Clare loves to do with her Cricut cuts, is embellish them with glitter.  By using the Art Glitter Ultrafine Glue tip (see photo below) and Designer dries clear glue, she gets a line of glitter as fine as a glue pen.  But the Art Glitter glue lasts so much longer and the tip can be unclogged with a pin if it dries.   Clare thinks glue pens just don't compare!  To embellish such a detailed cut, Clare applies the glue to one quarter of the motif at a time and then sprinkles the glitter.  She repeats the application of each quarter section, until the entire design is covered.  Below are photos of the doily before and after embellishment.

Fall Crop and Garage Sale This Weekend!

The S.C.R.A.P. Guild is having their Fall Crop and Garage Sale! Please join us to crop, sell and or shop! Here are the details: When: Saturday September 28th, 9:00am to 8:00pm. Where: Clinton Township Community Center, 160 W. Lincoln Hwy., Waterman IL 60556 Who: Guild Members pay $5:00 to crop and sell garage sale scrapbook items, non-guild members pay $8.00. Anyone can stop in to garage sale shop! More details... Member cost is $5.00, non-member $8.00. This crop is a no frills crop, meaning that we are not serving any food, we do have access to a refrigerator and stove. Also a local restaurant is within walking distance. We have reserved both rooms the back room for cropping, and the front room for the garage sale. All croppers are encouraged to bring garage sale items. This year we will have tables set up for you to use for your garage sale items. The garage sale tables will be a no cost. Join us for Creative "U" Crop in March 2012

The S.C.R.A.P. Guild of Northern IL will be hosting their annual fundraiser crop: Creative "U" in DeKalb, IL on March 10 and 11, 2012 at the University Plaza. Please click HERE for the event flyer. This is a two day crop, but one day croppers are welcome!
They currently have a Stampin' Up Representative and a Close to My Heart Representative, but are looking for more vendors! Interested consultants and or stores can email the guild at scrapguild@yahoo.com for more information on being a vendor.
Cropping fees include lunch and dinner on Saturday and lunch on Sunday. Fees range from $25.00 to $70.00 depending on the number of days you crop and whether or not you are a guild member. Guild members get a discount on their tickets! The first 20 croppers who sign up get a free gift. I got to do the shopping for the free gift and LOVE it! I'll be there!

We've Moved Our Meetings to Genoa!

The Sycamore Library is remodeling and our meeting room will no longer be available. So, we found a new location in Genoa at 599 Pearson Drive, Genoa, IL 60135. From the Library, just head north on Main St. about 7.1 Miles and look for the Browns County Market store. The new building is near there. Just turn left on Pearson Drive.
We're working on a Valentines Day make and take and I will post a picture soon! For now, here's an idea of what were making, this cute little heart box from the Cricut Close To My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge. Will be stamping white card stock with some red ink in Valentines day sentiments.

Booths to visit at Scrapbook Expo St. Charles

Some of the guild members have been to the Scrapbook Expo in St. Charles and we all love it! It is a great place to find supplies & tools with so many local scrapbook stores now gone. So, here are three booths to make sure you stop at at the Expo:
